Day 76 - Slow Speed
Slow Speed is the way I am taking the day. I am on Spring Break and vacationing at home. Living in a tourist destination it is easy to forget that fact until driving to the beach and being shocked by the traffic jam on a Wednesday morning. Spent the morning Kayaking on the Intercoastal waterway with a friend, enjoying the view, sunshine and company. Kayaking is a great way to spend a day of Spring Break. Our lives are so hectic, it is such a wonderful day when we can power down to SLOW SPEED and enjoy the beauty and friendship around.

Day 75 - Black Sapote
It is so difficult to find these fruit on the tree the color is so green it looks just like the leaves at first glance. Black Sapote are large about the size of your fist yet they blend into the background of the canopy. They get their name from the color of the fruit. It looks rotten when ripe, very similar to chocolate pudding. Odd, interesting fruit. We only discovered the identity of this year. Years we wondered why this big beautiful fruit would rot, fall to the ground and never ripen. My husband finally started to research and discovered the treasure we have in our backyard.

Day 74 - Hercules
Hercules is such a sweet dog, just don't try to take his bone or pick him up. He loves his cinibones. He couldn't be a happier dog right at the moment I took the photo.

Day 73 - Orange Blossom
Orange Blossoms in the rain. The aroma is overwhelming, visions of oranges dancing in my mind. Reminds me of the first year this tree finally blossomed. My youngest son comes running in the house saying, "Momma, I brought you flowers". I hugged him, placed them in water and thought what's one more year waiting for oranges. The tree is covered in orange blossoms more than enough to pick and bring to Momma. Alas, little boys grow up and teenagers don't pick flowers like 4 years.

DAY 69 - Tractor
Whew!!! Finally caught up on this photo challenge. It is so difficult when you fall behind and get overwhelmed by the number of photos that add up EVERYDAY! I was determined to turn in all the photos due for each day and not meeting the challenge wasn't an option. I had to make sure I turned in all the photos. I apologize I may have posted some photos out of order but all of these photos were shot between now and January when I stopped uploading. Spring Break in two days, so I should be able to get back into the swing of posting a photo a day again.
Day 34 - Black Sapote
These things have been littering our yard for years. We couldn't figure out why the fruit would turn black and drop from the tree without ever ripening. Well, my sharp husband did some research and discovered these areBlack Sapote and when ripe they turn black. Also know as Chocolate Pudding fruit it has a mild taste and is amazingly creamy smooth like chocolate pudding. The color is like a deep dark chocolate. Now we get to figure out many different recipes to enjoy this exotic fruit littering the kitchen sink.
